We are a CPA firm serving individuals and small business in
the areas of taxation, accounting, business consulting, and estate planning.
Frank Sands and John Gililland merged their accounting practices in 2005 to
form the current firm.
Frank E Sands CPA
Frank has 29 years’ experience as a CPA. He is the managing principal of Sands
Gililland & Company PC, a licensed CPA firm. He moved to Texas in 1978 from
Minnesota to take advantage of the positive business climate. He has presented
seminars on taxation and has taught accounting at Richland College and done
litigation support.
Frank is a member of the Dallas Chapter of the Texas Society
of CPA’s, the Texas Society of CPA’s, and the Texas Association of CPA’s. He served as the Committee Chairman of BSA
Troop 714 and is active in his community.
Frank enjoys family travel, sailing, fishing, photography,
black powder guns, and tinkering in his shop
John C Gililland CPA
John has 30 years’ experience as a CPA. He is a born and
raised Texan and a UT grad. He joined the Internal Revenue Service, after
becoming certified, where he worked as an auditor. John was tapped by the IRS
to teach audit specialties. John began his public accounting practice in 1982.
John is a member of the Dallas Chapter of the Texas Society
of CPA’s, the Texas Society of CPA’s and a local Plano management group
John enjoys golfing, fishing, hunting and Sudoku.
Nancy Siegley
Nancy has been in public accounting for 13 years. She is our
full charge bookkeeper and handles client payroll. Prior to her public
accounting work, she worked as a bookkeeper and administrative assistant for
home builders and remodelers in the Plano/Frisco area. Nancy is a graduate of
Draughons Business College of Dallas and participates in continuing education
including tax preparation courses.
Nancy enjoys her cabin at the lake and her grandchildren.
Gaye Thomasson
Gaye has been in public accounting since 1990. She is our
administrative assistant. Gaye is a born and raised Texan and a UT grad. Prior
to working in public accounting, Gaye was an elementary school teacher.
Gaye enjoys movies, reading, her family and her HGTV
software.
